About the role
We are looking for a motivated and detail‑oriented Accounts Payable Assistant to join our client’s Finance team in Leighton Buzzard. You will work full‑time on‑site, handling a range of payable tasks to ensure transactions are processed accurately and in line with company policies.
Key responsibilities
- Process supplier invoices and ensure proper coding and approval.
- Match invoices to purchase orders and resolve any discrepancies.
- Prepare and execute regular payments, including electronic transfers and checks.
- Reconcile supplier statements and maintain accurate payable records.
- Respond to internal and external queries regarding invoice status.
- Assist with month‑end closing activities related to accounts payable.
Required profile
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Customer‑focused approach when dealing with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Required skills
- Microsoft Excel
What we offer
- Temporary full‑time contract.
- Hourly rate of £12.82.
- On‑site work in Leighton Buzzard.
