Accounts Payable Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to lead end‑to‑end AP operations across multiple entities in North Manchester. You will own the AP function, support migration initiatives and build a high‑performing team while ensuring compliance and strong performance against SLAs and KPIs.

Key responsibilities

• Lead AP process migrations and drive standardisation across entities.
• Oversee daily operations including invoice processing, payments and query resolution.
• Manage workloads and maintain service levels during peak periods.
• Ensure compliance with European regulations and internal policies.
• Coach, develop and motivate the AP team.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to improve Procure‑to‑Pay (P2P) processes.
• Drive process improvements, automation and robust financial controls.
• Monitor KPIs and provide performance insights to senior management.

Required profile

• Proven experience in Accounts Payable / P2P, preferably within shared services.
• Strong leadership and team development capabilities.
• Track record of delivering process improvements and managing change.
• Excellent communication skills; additional European languages are a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
