Accounts Payable Specialist – Hybrid

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our busy finance team in Woking. The role will manage the purchase ledger, build strong supplier relationships and support process improvements. You will work in a hybrid environment, collaborating with colleagues across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee processing of supplier invoices and credit notes across multiple business areas.
• Prepare and run supplier payment batches in line with internal procedures.
• Create and maintain accurate supplier accounts.
• Reconcile supplier statements and investigate discrepancies.
• Monitor key deadlines and coordinate team workloads.
• Support month‑end close activities, including balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Respond to supplier and internal finance queries promptly.
• Use finance systems and reporting tools to track performance and identify improvements.
• Manage requests through the internal ticketing system.

Required profile

• Proven experience in accounts payable, preferably with mentoring responsibilities.
• AAT Level 3 or 4 qualification (advantageous).
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and a proactive approach.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (or similar finance system).
