Accounts Payable Supervisor – 4‑Week Temporary Assignment

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor for a short‑term, 4‑week assignment in Glasgow City Centre. You will lead a small team of AP Assistants, ensuring invoices are processed accurately and payments are made on time.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and support a team of three Accounts Payable Assistants.
• Oversee the end‑to‑end Accounts Payable process, from invoice receipt to payment execution.
• Manage payment runs, resolve payment queries, and approve transactions in line with company policy.
• Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies and supplier issues.
• Assist with reconciliations and month‑end closing activities.
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Identify process improvements and support the wider finance team as needed.

Required profile

• Previous experience as an Accounts Payable Supervisor or senior AP professional.
• Proven ability to manage or mentor a small AP team.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle competing priorities.
• Effective communication and stakeholder‑management capabilities.
• Immediate availability or ability to start on short notice.
