Accounts Payable Team Leader (Hybrid)

About the role

We are seeking an Accounts Payable Team Leader to manage a dedicated finance team within a growing healthcare group. This hybrid role combines office presence in Taunton with the flexibility of two days working from home, offering a balanced work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee a team of five finance professionals, ensuring smooth day‑to‑day operations.
• Maintain accurate invoice entry into the accounting system and reconcile supplier statements.
• Monitor and chase outstanding invoices, manage bank and petty cash reconciliations.
• Prepare and execute payment runs while ensuring compliance with group KPIs.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and communication across the company.
• Set objectives, conduct performance reviews, and support recruitment and training initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a supervisory or team‑lead role within finance.
• Strong desire to develop and motivate a collaborative team.
• Good understanding of finance processes, with hands‑on experience or relevant qualifications.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work flexibly within set hours.
