Accounts Receivable Executive – French/German Required

About the role

This position is based in Watford and offers an experienced finance professional the chance to own the sales ledger, manage customer relationships across the UK and Europe, and support cash‑flow stability in a fast‑moving commercial environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update the sales ledger, allocate incoming payments and reconcile customer accounts.
• Monitor outstanding balances, chase overdue invoices and prepare aged debtor reports.
• Raise manual invoices and credit notes within required deadlines.
• Support credit control by assessing new credit applications, reviewing limits and escalating overdue accounts.
• Collaborate with sales, operations and logistics to resolve invoice disputes, pricing queries and customer claims.
• Process approved credit notes and manage multi‑currency transactions (GBP & EUR).
• Produce weekly and monthly aged debt reports, monitor DSO and assist with month‑end close.
• Contribute to cash‑flow forecasting through accurate collection schedules.

Required profile

• Proven experience in accounts receivable, sales ledger or credit control.
• AAT qualification or progress towards ACCA.
• Fluency in French or German for handling European customer accounts.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
