Accounts Semi Senior – Carlisle

About the role

We are partnering with a well‑regarded Chartered Accountancy firm in Carlisle to recruit an Accounts Semi Senior. This is a great opportunity for an AAT qualified or ACA/ACCA part‑qualified professional with practice experience to develop their career in a supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare year‑end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• Assist with VAT returns and routine bookkeeping tasks.
• Support the preparation of management accounts and ad‑hoc client work.
• Utilise cloud accounting platforms such as Xero, QuickBooks and Sage.
• Liaise directly with clients and provide support to senior staff.

Required profile

• AAT qualified or ACA/ACCA part‑qualified.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a UK accountancy practice.
• Strong communication and organisational abilities.
• Proficiency with cloud accounting software.
