About the role
This is a semi‑senior accounting position within a well‑respected practice in Helston. The role offers a solid springboard for future career development for candidates with strong practice experience who are looking to progress.
Key responsibilities
- Preparation of accounts and financial statements for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
- Tax computations and related lodgements
- VAT returns, bookkeeping and management accounting
- Resolution of client queries and provision of advice where necessary
- Liaising with clients, internal staff and HMRC
Required profile
- Experience working in an accountancy practice environment
- Undertaking or completed professional accounting studies
- Strong grasp of technical accounting standards
- Familiarity with a variety of online accounting packages
