Accounts Semi-Senior

About the role

Our client, an independent accountancy practice, is seeking an Accounts Semi‑Senior to join their busy team in Eastleigh. You will work with a varied portfolio of individuals, businesses and not‑for‑profit organisations across the UK and Europe, developing technical expertise in a supportive, fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit VAT returns in line with HMRC requirements.
• Maintain accurate bookkeeping records using cloud accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks and Sage.
• Support month‑end and year‑end accounting processes.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, offering professional guidance.
• Assist in preparing financial accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships across multiple industries.

Required profile

• AAT studier or qualified by experience.
• Minimum two years' experience within an accountancy practice.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proactive, client‑focused approach with strong communication skills.
