Accounts Semi-Senior

About the role

We are looking for an Accounts Semi‑Senior to join a respected accountancy firm in Preston. You will work with a diverse portfolio of SME clients, develop your technical expertise and benefit from a supportive team environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare year‑end statutory accounts for a range of SME clients.
• Prepare quarterly VAT returns and support Making Tax Digital compliance.
• Assist with audit assignments and fieldwork.
• Produce bookkeeping and management accounts.
• Build strong client relationships and act as a trusted point of contact.
• Support senior team members across a varied business portfolio.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of UK accountancy practice experience.
• AAT qualified, studying towards ACCA/ACA, or qualified by experience.
• Proven experience preparing year‑end accounts and VAT returns.
• Enjoys building and maintaining client relationships.
