Accounts Semi‑Senior – Folkestone

About the role

We are looking for an Accounts Semi‑Senior to join our Folkestone office. You will work closely with senior accountants to prepare financial statements, tax returns and management accounts for a diverse portfolio of SME clients. This is a full‑time position offering solid career progression within a supportive, forward‑thinking firm.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare year‑end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• Assist in the preparation and filing of corporation tax, VAT and personal tax returns.
• Support audit engagements, including fieldwork and coordination with senior team members.
• Ensure all work meets technical, regulatory and deadline requirements.
• Provide professional advice to clients and maintain high standards of customer service.
• Collaborate with the team to improve workflows and service delivery.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to their development.

Required profile

• Part‑qualified or fully qualified AAT, ACA or ACCA (or equivalent).
• Strong understanding of UK accounting standards and tax legislation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
