About the role
Join a well‑established, friendly accountancy practice in Liskeard as an Accounts Semi‑Senior. You will work with a diverse portfolio of owner‑managed businesses, sole traders and limited companies, providing high‑quality accounting, tax and advisory services.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare year‑end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
- Produce management accounts
- Calculate and submit corporation tax returns
- Prepare personal tax returns and VAT returns
- Perform bookkeeping using cloud‑based software (Xero, QuickBooks, Sage)
- Support junior team members and liaise with clients professionally
- Assist senior staff and managers on ad‑hoc projects and tight deadlines
Required profile
- 2–3 years’ experience in an accountancy practice
- AAT qualified or part‑qualified ACA / ACCA (or equivalent)
Required skills
- Proficiency with Xero
- Proficiency with QuickBooks
- Proficiency with Sage
