Accounts Senior – Accountancy Practice

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Accounts Senior to join a growing accountancy practice in Chippenham. This permanent, full‑time position offers the chance to develop technical expertise, work with a varied client portfolio and progress towards a senior role.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare year‑end accounts for a diverse range of clients.
• Assist in the preparation of statutory financial statements.
• Produce management accounts and handle bookkeeping assignments.
• Support VAT returns and other compliance requirements.
• Liaise with clients to gather information and resolve queries.
• Assist senior team members on more complex assignments.
• Ensure assignments are completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.
• Build and maintain positive client relationships.

Required profile

• AAT qualification or part‑qualified ACA/ACCA.
• Experience working within an accountancy practice.
• Proven ability to prepare accounts for various business entities.
• Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting requirements.
• Strong attention to detail, organisational and communication skills.
• Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
