Accounts Senior / Assistant Accountant

About the role

We are seeking an ambitious Accounts Senior/Assistant Accountant to join our fast‑growing practice in Letchworth Garden City. The role offers hybrid working, a supportive environment and clear pathways for professional development.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare statutory accounts for a diverse range of owner‑managed businesses and SMEs.
• Assist in the preparation of corporation tax computations.
• Liaise directly with clients to obtain information and resolve queries.
• Ensure assignments are completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.
• Support the preparation of personal tax returns where required.
• Work closely with Managers and Partners on client assignments.
• Support and mentor junior team members.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience within a UK accountancy practice.
• Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proactive attitude with a genuine desire to learn and develop.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively within a team.
