Accounts Senior – Chartered Accountant

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and ambitious Accounts Senior to join a well‑renowned accountancy practice in Cheltenham. This permanent, full‑time position offers the chance to develop your own client portfolio while supporting a high‑performing team.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare statutory accounts, corporation tax returns and personal tax returns for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• Produce management accounts and conduct final reviews of statutory accounts.
• Coach and support junior team members, sharing technical knowledge and best practices.
• Develop and onboard new clients, taking responsibility for existing client relationships.
• Manage personal deadlines, lead client meetings and act as a trusted adviser.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualified with recent experience preparing statutory and management accounts.
• Previous experience in a similar role within an accountancy firm.
• Strong ability to manage a varied workload and meet strict deadlines.
• Commercially aware with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for the firm.
• Team‑player with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
