Accounts Senior / Client Manager – £30k‑£49k

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Senior / Client Manager to join a well‑established independent practice in Liverpool. You will be responsible for a portfolio of small‑business clients, delivering high‑quality accountancy and tax services while ensuring compliance with HMRC.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a diverse client portfolio, acting as the main point of contact.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns and management reports.
• Provide tax planning advice and ensure HMRC compliance.
• Maintain accurate accounting records using Xero.
• Develop strong client relationships through clear communication.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualification, or comparable experience.
• Proven experience managing client portfolios in an accounting environment.
• Strong knowledge of VAT, tax planning and HMRC regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
