Accounts Senior

About the role

The Accounts Senior position is a permanent role within a medium‑sized professional services firm in Letchworth Garden City. You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality accounting and finance services to a diverse client portfolio across multiple industries.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements and statutory accounts for a range of clients.
• Manage bookkeeping, VAT returns and other tax compliance tasks.
• Provide advisory support on tax matters and financial performance.
• Mentor and review the work of junior team members.
• Ensure timely delivery of all client deliverables and maintain accurate records.
• Collaborate with internal departments to enhance the client experience.

Required profile

• Professional accounting qualification or part‑qualification (e.g., ACCA, ACA or equivalent).
• Proven experience preparing financial statements and statutory accounts.
• Strong knowledge of UK tax regulations and VAT requirements.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities.
• Effective communication skills with clients and colleagues.

• Proficiency with accounting software and related tools.
