Accounts Senior

About the role

This position is with a long‑established, fast‑growing accountancy practice in Glasgow. As an Accounts Senior you will deliver high‑quality financial reporting and client support across a varied portfolio of businesses and charities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare annual accounts for limited companies, LLPs and partnerships.
• Carry out independent examinations for larger charities and trusts.
• Visit client premises to provide on‑site support when required.
• Build and maintain confident, professional relationships with clients.
• Respond promptly to client enquiries and escalate where necessary.
• Support, coach and guide junior team members in day‑to‑day activities.

Required profile

• ACCA or CA qualification (essential).
• Strong accounts preparation experience within a professional practice.
• Excellent numerical and analytical abilities.
• Confident use of cloud accounting tools such as Xero and Sage.
• Ability to build strong rapport with clients and colleagues at all levels.
• Commercial awareness and a client‑focused approach.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Commitment to CPD and keeping technical knowledge up to date.
• Proactive ownership mindset.
