Accounts Technician – Full‑time, Crediton

About the role

This full‑time, permanent position is based in Crediton and offers the chance to develop technical accounting skills within a supportive, experienced team. You will work on a diverse client portfolio and gain exposure to a range of accounting and tax tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a varied portfolio of clients, including sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
• Support the preparation of year‑end accounts and financial statements
• Assist with personal and corporate tax returns
• Prepare VAT returns and carry out bookkeeping duties
• Build strong client relationships and provide day‑to‑day accounting support
• Collaborate closely with senior team members to deliver high‑quality service

Required profile

• Previous experience as an Accounts Technician within an accountancy practice
• Ambitious attitude with a desire to progress in the profession
• Either already studying or planning to start AAT, ACA or ACCA qualifications

Required skills

• Experience with cloud‑based accounting software such as Xero or QuickBooks
