Acoustic Consultant

About the role

We are seeking an Acoustic Consultant to join a growing environmental consultancy in Hampshire. The role involves delivering noise assessments for planning applications across the UK, working closely with architects, planners and developers.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver environmental noise assessments for residential, commercial and mixed‑use development projects.
• Conduct site surveys, perform acoustic measurements and carry out technical analysis.
• Produce high‑quality technical reports and provide practical advice to clients.
• Liaise with architects, planning consultants, developers and multidisciplinary project teams throughout the delivery process.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years’ experience as an Acoustic Consultant or in a similar role.
• Proven experience producing noise assessments for planning applications.
• IOA Diploma preferred or a degree in Acoustics or a related discipline.
• Strong written communication and report‑writing abilities.
• Good knowledge of relevant acoustic standards and planning guidance.
