Activities Assistant – Care Home (Part‑time)

About the role

As an Activities Assistant at Kingswood Court Care Home you will create and deliver a varied programme of fun, engaging activities that enhance residents’ quality of life. You will help residents stay independent, socially connected and motivated through creative leisure options.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organise and lead a range of activities, outings and events for residents.
• Adapt activities to suit individual interests, abilities and cultural backgrounds.
• Encourage resident participation and foster a sense of community.
• Collaborate with care staff to ensure activities complement health and wellbeing plans.
• Maintain activity records and report on resident engagement.

Required profile

• Enthusiastic, empathetic and creative with a genuine interest in supporting older adults.
• Ability to motivate and encourage participation, even without prior care‑home experience.
• Flexible approach to working hours, including occasional weekend shifts on a rotating basis.
