About the role
This part‑time position supports a local charity that helps older adults in West Berkshire and North Hampshire live healthier, happier, and more independent lives. You will design and deliver a varied programme of activities, events and wellbeing initiatives that promote active ageing and social connection.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, organise and deliver a wide range of activities, trips, wellbeing programmes and social events tailored to the interests and abilities of older participants.
- Build and maintain partnerships with GP surgeries, social prescribers, community organisations and wellbeing providers.
- Act as the main point of contact for participants, handling enquiries, managing bookings and ensuring a positive, personalised experience.
- Maintain accurate participant records, consent forms and activity logs using the charity’s CRM system.
- Recruit, train and supervise volunteers, ensuring DBS checks, risk assessments and health‑and‑safety standards are met.
- Manage safeguarding concerns and ensure compliance with GDPR and other relevant legislation.
Required profile
- Experience working with older adults, vulnerable groups or in a charity/health‑care setting.
- Proven ability to develop and run community programmes or events.
- Strong relationship‑building skills with external partners and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of safeguarding, health & safety and data protection requirements.
Required skills
- Proficiency with a CRM system for booking and record‑keeping.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Organisational skills for managing multiple activities and volunteers.
