Activities Coordinator – Care Home

About the role

Join the team at Windmill Lodge Care Home in Brixton Hill as a Lifestyle Activities Coordinator. You will design and deliver engaging programmes that enrich the daily lives of residents, supporting their physical, emotional and social wellbeing.

Key responsibilities

• Create and organise a varied activities schedule for individuals and groups.
• Collaborate with staff, families and external partners such as community groups, schools and churches.
• Plan outings and day‑trips, ensuring knowledge of local resources and transport.
• Encourage resident choice and independence, tailoring activities to personal preferences.
• Maintain records of participation and outcomes.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a similar role or caring environment is desirable.
• Highly organised, proactive and able to plan effectively.
• Confident, enthusiastic with a "can‑do" attitude.
• Genuine passion for improving the lives of older people.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

What we offer

• Hourly rate £13.45‑£14.15 (based on experience).
• 30‑hour week, Monday‑Sunday with alternate weekends.
• 28 days holiday including bank holidays, free on‑site parking.
