Activities Coordinator – Residential Care

About the role
The Activities Coordinator will enrich daily life for residents at Hallhouse Care Home by delivering engaging, person‑centred activities that promote wellbeing, independence and social interaction.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, organise and lead a varied programme of group and one‑to‑one activities tailored to individual interests, abilities and care needs.
- Support residents living with dementia by adapting activities to encourage participation and enjoyment.
- Build strong relationships with residents, families and staff to understand preferences and promote inclusive involvement.
- Collaborate with the wider care team to create a stimulating, safe and welcoming environment.
- Maintain accurate records of activity sessions and resident feedback.
Required profile
- Creative, organised and enthusiastic approach to activity planning.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Genuine interest in supporting older people.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in activities, hospitality, events, childcare or community work is beneficial but not mandatory.
Required skills
What we offer
- £13.60 per hour, contracted to 30 hours per week.
- Paid PVG, pension scheme and uniform provision.
- 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on full‑time equivalent).
