Activities Lead – Care Home

About the role
As an Activities Lead at a Barchester care home you will create a stimulating environment that supports residents’ wellbeing, independence and social engagement. You will work closely with the community engagement team to build local links and showcase the home’s activities, while also maintaining the home’s social media presence.
Key responsibilities
- Design and deliver imaginative, fun and motivational activities tailored to residents’ interests and abilities.
- Develop and maintain relationships with residents, families and local community groups.
- Update and manage the home’s social media platforms to promote events and achievements.
- Collaborate with the community engagement team to create external partnerships.
- Monitor participation and evaluate the impact of activities on residents’ wellbeing.
Required profile
- Warm, empathetic and personable with a genuine passion for enhancing residents’ quality of life.
- Strong organisational skills and a proactive, “get‑things‑done” mindset.
- Enthusiastic, creative and able to inspire both residents and staff to take part.
- Willingness to learn and develop through provided training.
Required skills
- Basic computer literacy.
