Actuarial Pensions Consultant – Leeds

About the role

Join WTW as a Pension Actuarial Consultant, working on UK Defined Benefit pension schemes. You will support a diverse client base, handling trustee and corporate assignments while contributing to innovative projects across the pension landscape.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver regular valuations, accounting, PPF levies, individual calculations and factor reviews.
• Participate in integrated risk management, liability management and guaranteed minimum pension (GMP) equalisation.
• Support plan design, asset‑liability modelling, mergers and acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives.
• Mentor junior colleagues, providing coaching and delegating tasks effectively.
• Collaborate within a flexible, hybrid working environment, balancing client meetings and personal development.

Required profile

• Experience in core UK defined benefit pension actuarial work.
• IFoA nearly‑qualified, newly qualified, or fully qualified actuary.
• Strong client‑service orientation and excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proven ability to delegate, coach, and take accountability for work.
• Self‑starter mindset with willingness to step outside comfort zones.
