ADAS Application Engineer – Automotive Technology

About the role

This position sits at the heart of automotive product development, leading the creation and delivery of ADAS technology applications for electric, transit and commercial vehicle programmes. You will work in a hybrid model, spending four days a week on site in Dunton.

Key responsibilities

• Lead development and delivery of ADAS technology applications for EV and commercial vehicle programmes, meeting specifications and programme targets.
• Support feature definition by collaborating with planning, marketing and program management to shape business cases.
• Execute engineering tasks across the full lifecycle – design, develop, release, test and launch.
• Manage and coordinate commodity suppliers to ensure clear ownership and timely delivery.
• Perform ADAS hardware and sensor interface compatibility work, including trade‑off studies and issue resolution.
• Maintain quality and compliance, ensuring systems meet regulatory and safety requirements and supporting verification testing.

Required profile

• Design and Release Engineer with experience in ADAS, electronics hardware or CAD packaging and software.
• Proven background in electrical/electronic systems development and project management.
• Familiarity with product development processes, requirements management and software management approaches.
• Strong knowledge of Ford Global Product Development System and tools such as VSEM, GPDS, eFDVS, AVBOM, WERS, AIMS and Teamcenter (or equivalents).
• Relevant automotive or engineering degree and a valid UK/Europe driving licence with unrestricted travel capability.
• Collaborative, solutions‑focused approach when working with cross‑functional stakeholders.
