ADHD Practitioner

About the role

Join Barnardo's Celebrating and Inspiring Service to support children and young people (6‑16) with ADHD and other neurodevelopmental conditions across Surrey. You will lead and co‑facilitate short‑term group sessions that run for 5‑6 weeks during school half‑terms.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, lead and support weekly group sessions for children with ADHD.
• Collaborate with a second Barnardo's colleague to share leading and supporting duties.
• Maintain accurate administrative records for each group, including attendance and progress notes.
• Liaise with Surrey state schools to schedule sessions and ensure smooth communication.
• Travel to multiple school sites across Surrey; claim mileage expenses in line with company policy.

Required profile

• Full UK driving licence and access to a personal car (business insurance required).
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Good understanding of ADHD and related neurodevelopmental conditions, either through professional experience or personal knowledge.
• Awareness of safeguarding procedures for children and staff.
• Attention to detail and reliable administrative capability.
