Admin Assistant – Bid Support (Maternity Cover)

About the role

We are seeking an Admin Assistant to provide maternity‑cover support for our bid team at a construction and property consultancy in South‑East England. The role will involve assisting the preparation and delivery of bids, tenders and related submissions.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor public tender notices and identify suitable project opportunities.
• Download tender documentation and manage the bid/no‑bid decision process.
• Lead or support bid kick‑off meetings as required.
• Produce high‑quality submission materials, ensuring compliance with corporate branding and guidelines.
• Prepare written content, research, and responses for SQ, ITT, framework and fee submissions.
• Liaise with internal departments to gather necessary information and keep the tender tracker up to date.
• Create bespoke presentations, organograms, visuals, case studies and company CVs.
• Maintain bid visuals in line with brand standards and request client feedback.

Required profile

• Previous experience working with bids or tender processes.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing deadlines and take initiative.
• Team‑focused attitude with good communication skills.

Required skills

• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with other Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience using Adobe Acrobat for document handling.
