Adults Social Worker - Learning Disabilities

About the role

Our client, Cambridgeshire County Council, is seeking a qualified Adults Social Worker to join their Learning Disabilities team. You will be responsible for assessing and reviewing care packages, ensuring that individuals receive the support they need to live independently.

Key responsibilities

• Complete Care Act 2014 assessments, including complex and high‑cost care packages.
• Undertake timely reviews when an individual's needs or circumstances change.
• Deliver at least two recorded assessments each week.
• Conduct face‑to‑face assessments and reviews.
• Actively involve advocates, carers, and families in the process.
• Analyse and evaluate care and support arrangements.
• Collaborate closely with brokerage and contracts colleagues.
• Ensure care packages maximise independence and wellbeing.
• Maintain accurate and defensible records.

Required profile

• Qualified Social Worker with registration on Social Work England.
• Experience working with learning disabilities or autism.
• Knowledge of the Care Act 2014 and the Mental Capacity Act.
• Proven experience reviewing complex care packages.
• Access to your own vehicle is essential.
