Advanced Electrician – Responsive Repairs

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Advanced Electrician to join the Responsive Repairs team of a leading social housing provider. The role involves travelling across East London and surrounding areas, delivering electrical repairs, maintenance and testing in residential properties while ensuring safety and high‑quality service.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out electrical repairs, installations and maintenance in domestic and commercial settings.
• Perform fixed‑wire testing, inspection and verification up to 230 V/415 V.
• Complete all required electrical certification and accurate documentation.
• Interpret technical drawings, specifications and instructions.
• Adhere to health and safety legislation and company procedures.
• Provide excellent customer service and meet performance targets.
• Participate in an out‑of‑hours call‑out rota with additional payment.

Required profile

• Qualified electrician with proven experience in both domestic and commercial environments.
• Strong knowledge of fixed‑wire testing, inspection and electrical maintenance.
• Ability to produce accurate electrical certifications and maintain records.
• Experience interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
• Customer‑focused attitude and good understanding of health and safety practices.
