About the role
We are seeking an Advanced Technical Trainer to deliver Bus & Coach engineering apprenticeship programmes on our modern Cheshire campus. The permanent, full‑time position (37 hours per week) offers a competitive salary and benefits, and involves teaching both practical and theoretical components to apprentices on block‑release from their employers.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver high‑quality apprenticeship training aligned with industry standards.
- Facilitate practical sessions, theory delivery and assessments for learners.
- Conduct vocational assessments on‑site and at employer locations.
- Collaborate with the Engineering department to continuously improve delivery.
- Provide ongoing guidance and support to apprentices and employer partners.
- Maintain health & safety, safeguarding and regulatory compliance.
Required profile
- Industry experience in Bus and Coach engineering, maintenance or operations.
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in a relevant discipline.
- Teaching or training experience (formal qualification desirable but not essential).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of industry standards, regulations and health & safety practices.
- Passion for developing future engineering talent.
