Advertising Sales Executive

About the role

We are looking for a driven Advertising Sales Executive to join our Cambridge‑based publishing house. You will manage a portfolio of existing advertisers and develop new revenue streams across print, digital and partnership channels, working closely with editorial and design teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and grow existing client accounts, identifying new advertising, sponsorship and partnership opportunities.
• Prospect and qualify new business through networking, referrals, industry events and outbound outreach.
• Achieve agreed revenue targets for print, digital and commercial partnership products.
• Maintain long‑term relationships by providing excellent client service and regular account reviews.
• Research market trends and competitor activity to uncover fresh opportunities.
• Collaborate with editorial, design and production teams to ensure campaigns are delivered on time, on brief and with strong commercial impact.
• Represent the magazines and brands at exhibitions, conferences and client meetings.

Required profile

• 2+ years proven success in media sales (print and digital) or a related advertising environment.
• Experience in B2B/B2C sales with a consultative approach and a track record of generating new business and growing existing accounts.
• Confident presenter in phone, video and face‑to‑face meetings.
• Self‑motivated, target‑driven and comfortable managing a sales pipeline.
• Proficient in using CRM systems to track opportunities and customer relationships.
