Afterschool Club Playworker – Term‑time (2:45‑6pm)

About the role

Join a welcoming primary school in Richmond upon Thames as an Afterschool Club Playworker. You will work from 2:45 pm to 6:00 pm, Monday‑Friday, providing a safe and engaging environment for pupils during term‑time hours.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise children in the after‑school club, ensuring safety and wellbeing at all times.
• Plan and deliver a variety of creative play and structured activities.
• Support the Club Manager in maintaining a positive, inclusive atmosphere.
• Monitor attendance, behaviour and any safeguarding concerns, reporting them appropriately.
• Maintain clean and tidy play areas and equipment.

Required profile

• Experience working with primary‑aged children in a childcare, school or play setting.
• Reliable, caring and enthusiastic with a positive attitude.
• Good understanding of safeguarding and child welfare.
• Ability to work well as part of a team and communicate effectively with children, parents and colleagues.
• Hold a First Aid qualification or be willing to undertake training.
