Agentic Software Engineer

About the role

Our client, a UK‑based medtech organisation, is building a new digital platform that links prescription workflows, manufacturing processes and patient outcomes. As the first dedicated developer on this initiative, you will lead the technical delivery from concept to production, working closely with senior leadership and clinical teams.

Key responsibilities

• Direct AI coding agents to execute complex, multi‑step development tasks and own the resulting output.
• Translate requirements, user journeys and wireframes into functional software.
• Develop full‑stack features including front‑end interfaces, APIs, data models and integrations.
• Contribute to architectural decisions (data models, authentication, hosting, security) using senior‑level judgement.
• Maintain robust version‑control and CI/CD practices (Git, branching, code review, GitHub Actions).
• Collaborate with clinical, operational and manufacturing teams to inform product development.
• Help shape and grow the technical team as the platform scales.

Required profile

• Entrepreneurial, proactive mindset with strong communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
• Experience leading full‑stack projects and making architectural decisions.
• Comfortable working in a regulated medtech environment.

Required skills

• React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, shadcn/ui.
• Capacitor for shared web‑mobile code, Progressive Web App capabilities.
• Node.js, REST API design, PostgreSQL.
• Cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) and infrastructure‑as‑code.
• Docker containerisation, GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines.
• Authentication solutions such as Auth0 or Clerk.
