AHU Commissioning Engineer

About the role

A growing field-based team across the West Midlands is looking for an experienced HVAC Commissioning Engineer. You will commission, service, fault-find and optimise HVAC equipment on customer sites, making sure systems run safely, efficiently and to a high standard. The role is based in Derby and involves travelling to sites.

Key responsibilities

• Commission, service, fault-find and optimise HVAC equipment on customer sites
• Work across Air Handling Units (AHUs), Close Control Units / CRAC Units, chillers, 4-pipe air source heat pumps, Fan Coil Units and HVAC controls
• Complete site risk assessments and support customers
• Identify opportunities for additional works where appropriate

Required profile

• Proven experience in HVAC commissioning and fault-finding
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and controls, with ability to diagnose issues and improve performance
• Willingness to develop knowledge across different HVAC product ranges
• Full UK driving licence
• Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces
• DBS clearance, or willingness to obtain one

Required skills

• F-Gas qualification, City & Guilds 2079 or NVQ Level 2 equivalent (desirable)
• Electrical qualifications or experience (advantageous)

What we offer

• Salary of £55,000 - £62,000, with overtime, expenses and a company van
