AI Engineer / C# .NET Developer (Reading) – Up to £450/day

About the role

We are seeking an experienced AI Engineer / Software Developer to join a long‑term contract in Reading. The role offers a day rate of up to £450, works three days per week on‑site and focuses on building C#/.NET applications while embedding AI tools throughout the development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain C#/.NET applications for production use.
• Integrate AI‑assisted development platforms (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) into daily coding tasks.
• Use AI to improve code quality, productivity and delivery speed.
• Collaborate with an Agile team to deliver features on schedule.

Required profile

• Strong commercial experience building applications with C# and .NET.
• Proven use of AI tools in a production software development environment.
• Familiarity with AI‑assisted development platforms such as Claude Code or GitHub Copilot.
• Solid understanding of modern software engineering practices and Agile workflows.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities and ability to work effectively in a team.

What we offer

• Day rate up to £450, outside IR35.
• Initial 3‑month contract with high likelihood of extension to 18 months.
