AI Engineer – .NET & Azure AI

About the role

We are partnering with a leading UK organisation that is expanding its internal AI capability. As an AI Engineer you will work in a dedicated AI squad, building enterprise‑grade applications that embed AI, automation and machine learning to solve real business challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable .NET/C# solutions on Microsoft Azure.
• Integrate AI capabilities using Azure AI, Microsoft AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI and Semantic Kernel.
• Build agentic AI applications, multi‑agent workflows and retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG) pipelines.
• Create APIs, services and integrations to connect AI components with enterprise systems.
• Write clean, well‑tested production code and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Ensure applications are secure, resilient, observable and follow engineering standards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business problems into software solutions.

Required profile

• Strong commercial software engineering experience, preferably with the Microsoft technology stack.
• Proven ability to design, build and deploy production applications in Azure.
• Experience with AI‑enabled applications and concepts such as LLMs, vector search and agentic AI.
• Solid understanding of API integration and enterprise system connectivity.

What we offer

• Hybrid working in Chester, North West England.
• Permanent full‑time contract.
• Salary £50,000–£60,000 per year.
