AI Engineer – Up to £100k + Benefits

About the role

We are partnering with a specialist technology consultancy that is expanding its engineering team. As an AI Engineer you will work on a variety of client projects, delivering innovative AI‑driven solutions that exceed expectations. The role is based onsite in Newcastle upon Tyne and offers a fast‑paced, intellectually stimulating environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy AI models and applications for diverse client needs.
• Integrate AI services using cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Maintain and optimise containerised workloads with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Continuously evaluate emerging AI technologies and recommend improvements.

Required profile

• University‑educated, preferably from a top university.
• Strong enthusiasm for technology and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast‑moving environment.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• Experience with OpenAI, Claude, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, and DeepEval.
• Proficiency in Azure AI Search, Azure cloud services, and/or AWS.
• Hands‑on knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
