AI Program Manager – Governance (Humanitarian Sector)

About the role

The International Rescue Committee is seeking an AI Program Manager to lead its AI governance and transformation initiatives across a global humanitarian organization. In this role you will shape responsible AI adoption that directly enhances outcomes for vulnerable populations in over 40 countries.

Key responsibilities

• Drive enterprise AI projects from concept through delivery, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Establish and oversee a structured AI use‑case review process to assess risks related to privacy, security, bias, and ethics.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams—including senior leaders, technical experts, and frontline staff—to embed AI solutions into program delivery.
• Partner with the AI Governance and Transformation Lead, IT Project Management, and AI project leads to monitor progress and report outcomes.
• Develop and maintain AI governance policies, standards, and best‑practice documentation.

Required profile

• Strong ability to bring structure to large‑scale initiatives and drive results.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills across technical and non‑technical audiences.
