AI Software Developer – AI Foundry (Newcastle)

About the role

We are looking for an AI Software Developer to join our new AI Foundry initiative in Newcastle. This full‑time, office‑based position will see you building, deploying and managing AI‑augmented, multi‑tenant business applications for banking and financial services clients.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with a team of developers and platform engineers in a supportive environment.
• Engage directly with users, stakeholders and subject‑matter experts to gather requirements and design pragmatic solutions.
• Take early responsibility for end‑to‑end software delivery, ensuring high quality.
• Partner with client teams to deliver products and projects collaboratively.
• Challenge existing systems and processes through technical excellence and innovation.
• Stay up‑to‑date with AI and technology trends to keep the team at the forefront of what’s possible.

Required profile

• Strong modern programming and software design abilities.
• Experience in UI development using Typescript and React.
• Passion for technology and AI as a catalyst for engineering productivity.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, integrated team and business environment.
• Product‑oriented, customer‑focused mindset with excellent communication skills.
• Energy, ambition and grit alongside solid critical‑thinking and problem‑solving.
• Minimum 2:1 degree in Computer Science or a related field from a top university, with strong A‑Levels.
