Air Conditioning Engineer – Maintenance & Repairs

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Air Conditioning Engineer to join a leading provider of maintenance services across the rail, education, health, local authority and church sectors in Southern England. The role involves delivering planned and reactive HVAC work for a diverse client base, ensuring high standards of safety and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out all planned and emergency repairs on client air‑conditioning units.
• Complete maintenance tasks in line with client specifications.
• Monitor equipment condition and report units that require replacement.
• Identify and list remedial works discovered during routine visits.
• Collaborate with the Contracts Manager to price materials and labour for extra repairs.
• Order required parts, manage deliveries and verify delivery notes before handing them to the site foreman.

Required profile

• F‑Gas qualification.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in the field.
• Possession of a PTS Card is preferable but not essential.
• Systematic and logical approach to tasks and problem‑solving.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.

Required skills

• Air‑conditioning unit maintenance and repair.
• F‑Gas certification.
