Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Engineer – Sutton (F‑Gas Cat 1 required)

About the role

Prize Placements are seeking an experienced and reliable Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Engineer for a mobile role based in Sutton, Surrey. You will perform planned preventative maintenance, servicing, fault finding and reactive breakdown work across a variety of commercial sites such as bakeries, gyms, and retail premises.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance on air‑conditioning and refrigeration equipment.
• Attend reactive call‑outs, diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently.
• Service, maintain and repair a variety of AC and refrigeration systems.
• Identify additional remedial works and report recommendations to the office.
• Complete electronic job sheets and service documentation accurately after each visit.
• Ensure works are completed safely and in line with legislation and industry standards.
• Maintain company tools, equipment and vehicle to a good standard.
• Manage parts and materials required for allocated jobs and travel to different customer sites as needed.

Required profile

• F‑Gas Category 1 qualification (essential).
• Previous experience as an Air Conditioning and/or Refrigeration Engineer.
• Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic abilities.
• Experience with both planned maintenance and reactive breakdowns.
• Full UK driving licence.
