Air Export Gateway Coordinator - Sunday to Thursday

About the role

As a member of the London Heathrow Export Gateway team, you will coordinate and execute air export shipments for UK branches and customers. The role involves planning, booking and managing freight movements while ensuring compliance, cost‑effectiveness and high levels of customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate day‑to‑day operations of the LHR Export Gateway, handling flight schedules, airline capacity and equipment.
• Allocate shipments, manage consolidations and build ULDs to meet carrier cut‑off times and secure optimal rates.
• Process export documentation, customs paperwork, airline bookings, CASS invoicing and cost accruals accurately.
• Maintain proactive communication with internal teams, branches, airlines, handling agents and transport providers.
• Use Cargo Wise, ASM Sequoia, Web Cargo and Microsoft Office to record activities and generate reports.
• Ensure compliance with customs regulations, aviation security, health & safety standards and month‑end procedures.
• Identify efficiency improvements, participate in cross‑training and support continuous departmental development.

Required profile

• Previous experience in an Air Export Gateway or similar air freight environment.
• Good knowledge of customs procedures and CDS systems.
• Familiarity with Cargo Wise is an advantage.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven setting.
