Air Export Operator – Freight Forwarding & Van Driver

About the role

Our client, an established freight forwarder, is seeking an Air Export Operator to manage export shipments from start to finish. The role combines air export administration with occasional van driving for collections and deliveries.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and process air export documentation and customs paperwork.
• Coordinate collections and deliveries using a company van.
• Handle dangerous goods (DG) packaging and ensure compliance with DG regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments and driver logs.
• Support warehouse activities when required, especially DG handling.

Required profile

• Previous experience in customs and export operations.
• Good knowledge of Dangerous Goods regulations.
• Valid driver’s licence and experience driving a van.
• ADR training is an advantage.
• Ability to work Monday‑Friday on either 8 am‑5 pm or 9 am‑6 pm shifts.

What we offer

• Competitive salary between £35,000 and £40,000 per year, dependent on experience.
