Air Export Operator

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Air Export Operator to join a busy export operations team serving a diverse portfolio of customers. You will manage international air‑freight shipments from booking to departure, ensuring compliance with customs, airline and security regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end air export shipments, from booking to customs clearance.
• Prepare and process MAWBs and HAWBs accurately.
• Complete export customs declarations in line with HMRC regulations.
• Liaise with customers, airlines, overseas agents and warehouse teams to obtain shipping instructions and documentation.
• Coordinate with transport providers to ensure smooth movement of freight.
• Maintain accurate export documentation and meet all deadlines.
• Provide regular shipment updates and deliver excellent customer service.
• Ensure compliance with customs legislation, aviation security requirements and company procedures.

Required profile

• Previous experience in air export or air‑freight operations.
• Strong knowledge of export customs procedures and documentation.
• Ability to manage multiple shipments in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Eligibility to complete a 5‑year checkable employment history and DBS check.

Required skills

• Experience preparing and processing MAWBs and HAWBs.
• Understanding of air‑freight and road‑freight operations.

What we offer

• Salary between £32,000 and £38,000 per year, dependent on experience.
• Monday‑Friday, 08:30‑17:00 working hours.
