Air Export Operator – Tue to Sat 9:30‑18:00

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Air Export Operator to join our busy freight forwarding team in Feltham. You will manage export shipments from booking through departure, ensuring accurate documentation, customs compliance, and excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Manage air export shipments from booking to departure.
• Arrange collections and coordinate transport with suppliers.
• Book cargo with airlines and monitor flight schedules.
• Prepare export documentation (MAWBs, HAWBs, B2B, consolidation shipments).
• Complete UK export customs declarations in line with HMRC regulations.
• Provide proactive updates to customers throughout the shipment lifecycle.
• Liaise with airlines, overseas agents, hauliers, customs authorities, and internal teams.
• Resolve operational issues quickly to minimise delays.
• Handle operational and financial aspects, including costing and invoicing where required.

Required profile

• Previous experience in air export freight forwarding.
• Strong knowledge of export documentation, customs procedures, and airline booking processes.
• Experience completing UK export customs declarations.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
• Attention to detail and proactive problem‑solving attitude.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
