Air Export Operator – Tue to Sat

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Air Export Operator to join our busy freight forwarding team in Feltham. The role involves managing air export shipments from booking through to departure while providing excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Manage air export shipments from booking to departure, arranging collections and coordinating transport.
• Book cargo with airlines, monitor flight schedules and ensure compliance with customer SOPs.
• Prepare export documentation (MAWBs, HAWBs, B2B, consolidation) and complete UK export customs declarations.
• Liaise with airlines, overseas agents, hauliers, customs authorities and internal teams to resolve issues.
• Provide proactive shipment updates to customers and handle costing/invoicing where required.

Required profile

• Previous experience in air export freight forwarding.
• Strong knowledge of export documentation, customs procedures and airline booking processes.
• Excellent organisational ability and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and customer‑service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, Tuesday‑Saturday (9:30‑18:00).

Required skills

• Good IT proficiency and experience with freight forwarding software.

• Competitive salary £30,000‑£33,000 per year.
