Air Export/Import Operator – Hounslow

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Air Export/Import Operator to join our busy freight forwarding team in Hounslow. In this hands‑on position you will manage international air cargo shipments from booking through to final delivery, ensuring a smooth, compliant and customer‑focused service.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate end‑to‑end air import and export shipments, arranging airline bookings and monitoring progress.
• Prepare and verify all import, export and customs documentation.
• Liaise with customers, airlines, overseas agents and transport providers to ensure timely movement.
• Track and trace shipments, promptly resolving any operational issues.
• Maintain accurate job costing, billing and shipment records.
• Ensure compliance with customs regulations and aviation security requirements.
• Meet operational KPIs while delivering excellent customer service.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in air freight forwarding.
• Hands‑on experience handling air imports, exports or both.
• Strong understanding of international freight documentation and customs procedures.
• Excellent organisational and communication abilities.
• Ability to prioritise workload in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proactive, customer‑focused attitude.
