Air Import Clerk – Night Shift (4 on/4 off)

About the role
We are looking for two experienced Air Import Clerks to join a busy air freight operation at Heathrow. The role involves handling import shipments from arrival through customs clearance, ensuring compliance and delivering high‑quality service to customers during night shifts.
Key responsibilities
- Manage air import shipments from arrival to final delivery.
- Prepare and verify import documentation such as air waybills, invoices and permits.
- Coordinate customs clearance and submit accurate declarations.
- Liaise with customers, airlines and warehouse teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Track shipments, investigate and resolve delays or discrepancies.
- Maintain compliance with customs and CAA regulations.
Required profile
- Previous experience in air import or freight forwarding.
- Strong knowledge of customs procedures and documentation.
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
Required skills
- Familiarity with air waybill (AWB) handling.
- Understanding of customs declaration processes.
